Things Just Got REAL-- LISTED.

OMFG, guys. I think this is one of the happiest days of my life so far.  Today I went to my transplant center and I am now transplant LISTED. ;________________;!!!

So if you are seriously interested (or know someone who is interested) in donating a kidney, here's some basic info for you:

~My insurance will pay everything except for travel and time off of work

~Expect to be out of work for 4-6 weeks, and have a lifting restriction.

~MUST be A or O bloodtype (but even this will not rule you out, because there is an opportunity to do a chain.)

Donors must also be in good general health, and 18 or over.  There is some more information about that here: umm.edu/programs/transplant/se…

The initial phonecall will first involve a series of questions, then they will most likey ask you to do some tests and bloodwork to see if you're more closely compatible.
