Hey Everyone! This has been quite the year of change, and I am doing well with my new kidney!  I am almost at my 1year kidneyversary (August 14th!!). With this change, comes a new studio name! I've been "Flying Horse Head Studios" for the longest time, and I feel like this no longer fits what I represent and what I do. I am still recovering, but I am doing well!  I already feel a bazillion times better than I did! The surgery was actually delayed until the 14th because they got in two cadaver donors the day before, and they had to go first.  So rather than potentially putting a tired surgeon on my kidney, they just delayed the surgery.  I was ok with that! The hospital said that it was the fastest working kidney they have had!  It started working as they were wheeling me to the ICU!  Typically, they keep patients for about 5 or more days, but they sent me home a day early because I was doing so well! OMFG, I just can't even right now. I really have no words. Everything is clear.  I have a Pre-op appointment tomorrow, and a Kidney Transplant scheduled for August 10th. That's the day before my Birthday.  ;.;  Best. Birthday. Present. Ever. I just can't even.

Ok, well, I was back a bit ago, but shh. I had some things I had to immediately deal with, so some things had to wait. Chunar horse did not win the custom competition, but that's ok!  I am SO HAPPY that I made it that far with one of my pieces!  It's still amazing, and I got a gorgeous ribbon and small model out of it too! I already have plans for next year as to what I'll be submitting. Wolf Breyer has been sold and is not available.  Thank you to the awesome person who took him home! Has it been a year already? I am SO incredibly happy to announce that the Chunar horse has been picked as one of the THREE finalists in the Fantasy division for the Customs contest at Breyerfest!! OMG!!! ...!!!!! !!!!! . !!!! !!! I CANT EVEN right now! I am just... so incredibly floored and honored that one of my creations made it this far!
